Great Falls National Park

Last Friday Greg took the day off work so we decided to get out of the house and enjoy some time as a family. We were going to take a mountain drive through the Shenandoah Valley, but then hurricane Sandy came through and dropped loads of snow on our planned route, so instead we went to
Great Falls National Park.

Sadly the sunshine faded into clouds about the same time we headed out, but it was still wonderful to get out into the crisp air. The water falls were a neat sight to see, but I think what we both really enjoyed was walking on the trail that ran along the water front and then the former canal.

We also ran into some random group of exchange students who were very amused by William in his fuzzy bear suit. They even took a picture with him because....well we're not sure why. But what do you say to someone when they ask if they can take a picture with your baby? We just said yes, but it is kind of strange thinking that some random people have a picture of our baby.

Anyway, it was a fun afternoon out together. Actually, the entire weekend has been really great. Having Greg around more was really nice. I think we both are greatly looking forward to the day when his nights and weekends are no longer packed with classes, studying and school events. But until then we'll get by on days like Friday.

I submit that the exchange students wanting a picture with your adorable baby is no different than the time that the asians at coulon park wanted to take pictures with the family... Besides, William is way cuter than dad! ;)

And who wouldn't want a picture with William?! I know I certainly do! Glad you got out and about and more importantly got to spend time together as a family. This is what dreams are made of <3
