Toast

Why does our kitchen smoke alarm go off nearly everytime I make toast?

Not when Greg makes toast. Not when I burn dinner. Not when the entire apartment is filled with smoke from something burning in the bottom of the oven.

Only when I make toast. I'm not even burning it.

I guess we should replace it because unless I decide to make toast in the midst of an already raging fire it probably won't go off.
